Frequently Asked Questions:

 1. What’s included in the tour price?

Answer: The tour price typically includes transportation, a professional guide, equipment (like snorkeling gear or fishing rods), and any activities specific to the tour, such as fishing, snorkeling, or island hopping. Additional costs may apply for food, drinks, or special upgrades (e.g., Cook Your Catch experience, private charters).

2. How long are the tours?

Answer: Tour durations vary, but most range from 3 to 8 hours depending on the activity. Half-day tours usually last around 4-5 hours, while full-day tours can be 7-8 hours. Some tours, like the Glover’s Reef experience, can be even longer.

3. Is there an age limit for the tours?

Answer: There are no strict age limits, but some tours, especially those involving water activities like snorkeling or deep-sea fishing, may be more suitable for children over 5 or 6 years old. We recommend checking with us regarding specific activities, as safety and comfort are our priority.

4. What should I bring on the tour?

Answer: It’s best to bring sunscreen, a hat, comfortable clothing, swimwear, and a towel. For fishing tours, we recommend wearing light layers to protect from the sun. Don’t forget your camera or smartphone for photos, and any personal items like medication.

5. Do I need to know how to snorkel or fish?

Answer: Not at all! We welcome beginners and offer instruction for snorkeling and fishing. Our guides will make sure you feel comfortable and safe. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-timer, our team is happy to help.

6. What if the weather is bad?

Answer: We monitor weather conditions closely and prioritize safety. If weather conditions are unfavorable, we may reschedule or offer an alternative tour. In the event of a cancellation, you’ll be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.

7. Can I customize my tour?

Answer: Yes! We offer private tours where you can select the activities and destinations that best suit your interests. Whether you want more fishing time or a longer snorkeling session, we’ll work with you to tailor the perfect experience.

8. How do I pay for the tour?

Answer: We accept payments through various methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, and online payment options. We require a deposit at the time of booking to secure your spot, with the balance due before or on the day of the tour.

9. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Answer: We have a flexible cancellation policy. If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, we can offer a full refund. If you cancel within 24 hours, a small fee may apply. If we need to cancel the tour due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or a chance to reschedule.

10. Is it okay to tip the guide?

Answer: Absolutely! If you feel that your guide did an exceptional job, tipping is a wonderful way to show your appreciation. While tipping is not mandatory, it is always greatly appreciated by our guides who work hard to ensure you have a memorable experience. You can give whatever you feel is appropriate based on your experience.

11. What’s the best time of year to visit Belize for these tours?

Answer: Belize is great to visit year-round! The dry season (November to May) offers the best weather for snorkeling, fishing, and island hopping. The lobster and conch hunting season runs from June to February. Bioluminescence tours are most spectacular during darker moon phases.

12. How far in advance should I book a tour?

Answer: It’s best to book tours at least 2-3 days in advance, especially during peak travel seasons (December to April). For private charters or specialty tours like Glover’s Reef, we recommend booking 1-2 weeks in advance to ensure availability.

13. Are food and drinks provided?

Answer: Many of our tours include complimentary water and light snacks. Full-day tours may include lunch (like a beach BBQ) or the option to Cook Your Catch. For private tours, we can arrange additional catering upon request.

14. Do you offer transportation to the boat or tour starting point?

Answer: Yes, we can arrange pickup and drop-off from local hotels or meeting points for an additional fee, or in some cases, it’s included in the tour price. Let us know where you're staying, and we’ll assist you.

15. Can I bring my own fishing or snorkeling gear?

Answer: Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own gear, but we also provide high-quality fishing rods, tackle, and snorkeling equipment at no extra cost. If you have special preferences or equipment, feel free to bring them along!

16. Will we see marine life on the tours?

Answer: Absolutely! Belize is known for its rich marine biodiversity. On snorkeling tours, it’s common to see tropical fish, rays, turtles, and even nurse sharks. Fishing tours also offer great chances to encounter unique species in Belize’s waters.

17. Are the tours family-friendly?

Answer: Most of our tours are family-friendly, including snorkeling, island hopping, and bioluminescence tours. We recommend discussing your group’s needs so we can recommend the most suitable activities for kids or seniors.

18. How many people can join a tour?

Answer: For shared tours, group sizes usually range from 6-12 people to ensure a comfortable experience. Private charters can accommodate small or larger groups based on your preferences and the tour type.

19. Can I book a tour if I don’t know how to swim?

Answer: Yes, you can still enjoy most of our tours! Life jackets are provided, and our guides are trained to assist non-swimmers during activities like snorkeling or bioluminescence tours. Island hopping and fishing are also great options for non-swimmers.

20. Are there any hidden fees or extra costs?

Answer: No hidden fees! We are transparent about all costs upfront. Some optional extras, such as private charters, additional catering, or extended tour durations, may incur additional charges, but we’ll always inform you in advance.
